WESTERN CAPE

All teachers at Mondeor Eco School have now been trained and are implementing RtL daily in their classrooms.
Urshula Saindon has made a number of presentations to organisations and the WCED and Training Courses are planned for 2019 - watch this space.
Naomi Sonday and Urshula Saindon were elected to the RtLSA committee at the AGM in March 2018.
The Western Cape will host the 2019 RtL Conference.
EASTERN CAPE

Since the 2017 GADRA presentation at Rhodes University, things have moved slowly but steadily.
A training course was held in June 2018 at Holy Cross School in Grahamstown and 12 teachers were trained.
In collaboration with the TELKOM Schools project, 30 teachers from 2 schools in Port Elizabeth are receiving RtL training in 2019.
SACE accreditation

READING TO LEARN has been accredited by SACE and all teachers attending a training course will receive the maximum of 15 points.  This is unfortunately not retrospective and only applies to teachers who completed training in 2017.
A review of points is underway.
